The perception of "carelessness" toward worldly stress in adulthood is often a surface-level manifestation of a sophisticated psychological defense system established in early childhood. Research suggests that a strong, protective paternal presence serves as a primary architect for an individual’s emotional regulation and phy...

Dr Roy: Mental health is equally important. We are so driven in our lives and jobs and in general. Our lifestyle is very stressful. Many people are working long hours around the clock without realising that they have not given time to their own physical and mental health. It is the pressure to prove oneself in the professional life that is also leading to this high-voltage lifestyle where little time is given to personal health. IT: Is genetic predisposition or family history also a factor? Dr Roy: Asians are more predisposed to having cardiac disorders due to our genes. And, there is nothing we can do about it. One of the reasons is the genetic formation. Hence, young people in our country are facing heart attacks more than our western counterparts. IT: What can people do to prevent these disorders? Remembering good old days- Growing up in a very simple and yet happy environment:

✍️ Regardless of the weather, our dinner time was at 8:00 PM  and bed time was 10:30.  Eating out at a restaurant was a huge deal, a rarity actually, that only happened when it was a birthday or a very special occasion to celebrate.  There was no such thing as fast food on every other day, and having a bottle of soft drinks and an ice-cream from the local shop was a real treat. Pass your final exams and you might have gotten a new set of clothes, or Bata shoes.  You took your school clothes off as soon as you got home and put on your ‘home’ clothes. There was no taking or picking you up in the car, you either boarded the school bus or rode on public transport, or just walked home. You got home did your chores and homework before dinner.  Not everyone had a house phone and much later, all private conversation were at PCO booth's. We didn’t have appletv AmazonPrime or Netflix. We had only Doordarshan to watch. Jungle Book came once a week on a Sunday and Chh...
