Improving your perspective-taking skills can help you build stronger relationships:

 -  Ever notice how sometimes it feels like other people just don't get you? Or maybe you've had that feeling about someone else? A lot of this comes down to something called "perspective-taking"—basically, the ability to see things from someone else's point of view. It's like trying to walk in their shoes for a bit. But it turns out, this isn't always easy, and many of us struggle with it. So, why is it so hard to see things from another person's perspective, and what can we do about it? What is Perspective-taking: Perspective-taking is the ability to understand another person's thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It is an essential skill for building empathy, compassion, and understanding in our relationships. However, many people struggle with perspective-taking. There are several reasons why this might be the case. Why some people lack it: One reason is that people may be too focused on their own thoughts and feelings. When we are constan...

Experience greater happiness, satisfaction, and a sense of purpose in life:

- Experiencing greater happiness, satisfaction, and a sense of purpose in life hinges upon cultivating personal power. This inner strength empowers us to navigate challenges, make conscious choices, and live authentically.  By understanding and harnessing our own potential , we can break free from limiting beliefs, cultivate meaningful relationships, and create a life that truly reflects our values and aspirations. This journey of self-discovery and empowerment unlocks a profound sense of fulfillment and allows us to live a life of joy and purpose. What is personal power? Personal power is the ability to influence the outcome of events and shape your own life, rather than feeling like you're at the mercy of external forces.   It's about having control over your thoughts, emotions, and actions. The concept of personal power gained prominence in the field of psychology in the 20th century.  Psychologists began to emphasize the importance of individual agency and the abilit...

Everyone wants to get established. And we run, we run day and night to achieve a name, a reputation, and a steady job. What happens next?

 - Most of the docs I know are very hard working. Many are compulsive workers. It is very difficult to keep them away from their work. I used to be the same, constantly on the run, clinical work a priority; everything else being secondary. In the initial years, everyone wants to get established. And we run, we run day and night to achieve a name, a reputation, and a steady practice. Contrary to popular perception, it is mostly not about the earnings. Yes, the earnings do matter, but primarily one is not running to earn, but to create an identity. Physicians run from hospital to hospital seeing admitted and out-patients. Surgeons run around operating. Corporate full-timers wind up at their jobs and run private clinics till late in the night after their job commitments are over. Many government-employed doctors do private consultations, sometimes legally, sometimes not. Everyone seems to have one major goal: how to squeeze in the maximum amount of clinical work into 24 hours. Everyth...

Why worry- many babies are lost in the mother's womb. But you are not dead. Aim towards your destination:

- #Science says that the amount of semen that is released once an adult healthy male has intercourse contains 400 million sperm. So, according to logic, if that amount of sperm found a place in the womb of a girl, then 400 million babies would be created! This 400 million #sperm, running like crazy towards the mother's uterus, only 300-500 sperm survive. And the rest? He dies of exhaustion or defeat on the way. These are 300-500 sperm, which have been able to reach the ovum. Only one of them, a very strong sperm, fertilizes the ovum, or takes a seat in the ovum. That lucky sperm is you or me, or all of us. Have you ever thought of this great war? 1. When you ran "there were no eyes, hands, feet, head, yet you won. 2. When you ran, you didn't have a certificate, you didn't have a brain, but you won. 3. You had no #education when you ran, no one helped but you won. 4. You had a destination when you ran and you ran with a single mind, aiming at that destination and you wo...

A Wisdom story- If integrity and reputation is lost, Your wisdom becomes foolishness, and your cunningness becomes stupidity:

 - Chicken story: A Woman walks into a butchery shop just before closing time and asks,  "Do you still have chicken?"  The butcher opens his deep freezer, takes out his only chicken left and puts it on the weighing scale. It weighs 1.5 kg. 🐓 The woman looks at the chicken and at the scale and asked,  "Do you have one that's a bit bigger than this one ?" The butcher puts his only chicken back into the freezer, and then takes it out again.  But this time when he puts it on the scale, he craftily keeps his thumb on the scale pan. And the scale now shows 2 kg.  "That's wonderful," said the woman.  "I'll take both of them, please!" In a situation like this, you realize at once that your integrity and reputation are firmly on the line.  Your wisdom becomes foolishness, and your cunningness becomes stupidity. Until now the butcher has his head inside the big deep freezer, looking for the first chicken. 😄 *Remember:*  1. Always tell the tru...

"You are born original, do not die a copy":

This proverb in the title of the article is a very interesting one i read it on a T-shirt. Now a days this clothing companies run informal education through T-shirts (LoL). I started smiling when I thought about how we follow herd mentality and become an artificial product. Every individual has inborn potentials, this potentials have to be brought out through internal and external motivation.      There are several factors as to why people do not take risk to act as per their thought and reasoning. The one major factor is fear of failing. It is usually very easy to see the result of someone doing something and then following them. Swami vivekananda has commented on leadership as "Take risk in your life, if you win you will lead, if you lose you will guide".       The second factor i like to highlight is inferiority complex which is caused because of low self-confidence and low self-esteem. The doubts a...
