-

The most important aspect of living a happy and satisfying life is developing the personal life skills to be happy. Being happy is the result of combining the inner person with their day-to-day activities. Personal development is a lifelong process which requires will, dedication and daily discipline.

The right attitude can help you stay calm and happy even in the most difficult of times. This life skills blog includes tips on simple ways to make life better.

We wanted to share life enriching information with our friends and family during 2013, at the same time one of our co-founder was deciding to quit MNC job and work on life skills full-time. In thirst of fullfiling this ambition we were looking at various online platforms. Finally we came to know about blogger.com from Google. We humbly started our life skills blog simply called as 'life skills'.

What is 'life skills'?

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and
interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and
manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Life skills may be directed toward personal actions or actions toward others, as well as toward actions to change the surrounding environment to make it
conducive to health.”

Bearing the WHO definition in mind, the 'Life Skills' blog offers people the emotional, social and intellectual information needed to achieve success in life – on a personal level, an interpersonal level, and within their community and work places.

Our main aim right now is to inform and educate others on various topics that will teach them about how they can live a more fulfilling and enriching life. Some of the topics we speak on and also collect and share from various sources for the blog. Here topics are discussed, from goal setting, healthy eating, improving marriage or relationships with dear ones, home living, and so much more.

How to be aware and take ourselves towards excellence:

- Perfection in humans is considered by most of them to be real goal of education and training. The question is, is the perfection possible? Or is it about excellence and not perfection? Let's understand what is perfection and how it is achieved. The process of improving something until it becomes excellent is perfection. Excellence is the quality of excelling, of being truly the best at something. Let's understand it by 4 levels: Level 1- I can do it! (Unconscious Incompetence) The Dunning Kruger Effect. Those who are overconfident though they dont have expertise. ATTRIBUTES - over confident  - arrogance - Keep commenting on others. THEY ARE IN PEAK OF MOUNT STUPID. Greatness by Evolution vs Revolution:

 - Greatness by Evolution vs Revolution: Every human has got his own individual uniqueness and goodness, through which he can benefit himself as well as the entire society. Reaching the Pinacle of Mount Everest does not happen headlong. It does happen day by day, step by step. You too can move towards your own personal mountaintop by taking each step at a time. The Everest climbers don’t jump up to the summit. No, they climb it bit by bit. There is a great amount of dissatisfaction among the people that they don't change even after going through a lot of life coaching seminars and other life skills workshops. What actually we need is we need to know really where we are struck in our micro steps. We have to clearly understand where are we getting struck and what actual solution and approach we need to follow in our each tiny step. Be it an improvement in work efficiency, bettering relationship, managing personal tasks well etc etc. I had this question in mind, there are tons of moti...

Hurdles in life are for good:

-   Once in a physics class, the teacher asked the students, *“Why do we have brakes in a car?”* Varied answers were received: “To stop” “To reduce speed” “To avoid collision” etc., But the best answer was, *“To enable you to drive faster”* Give it a thought. For a moment assume you have no brakes in your car then how fast will you drive your car? It’s because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire. _At various points in life, we find our parents, teachers, mentors & friends etc. questioning our progress, direction or decision. *We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as “brakes” to our ongoing work*._ But, remember, it’s because of such questions (periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or met with an unfortunate accident. *Appreciate the “brakes” in your life. Use them wisely!* Source: whatsaap message

Entrepreneurship is solely driven by passion and solving pressing social issues:

-   Entrepreneurship has become a very famous and fancy word in the 21st century. The Young fellows you might have heard say that they are entrepreneurs or they aspire to become one. What really the game of entrepreneurship is, it is altogether a different career option compared to the traditional job market. A student who becomes an entrepreneur after his studies have to take a risk in developing his idea into an operable, and truly realistic solution. If you look at the entrepreneurs, they have really tried to solve the world problems, and many entrepreneurs started from a small scratch and they have become billion-dollar brands and organisations. If you take an example of Tesla, a USA based electric car company, when Tesla had this initiative to launch electric cars similar to other fast cars, nobody thought this idea could work. The industry of electric cars had earlier failed because it had a problem with the mileage, in terms of the sustainability of battery in a lo...
