Sometimes obtaining knowledge isn't enough to see your dreams come true, you need the right mindset to keep yourself from getting lost along the way:

-

The most important aspect of living a happy and satisfying life is developing the personal life skills to be happy. Being happy is the result of combining the inner person with their day-to-day activities. Personal development is a lifelong process which requires will, dedication and daily discipline.

The right attitude can help you stay calm and happy even in the most difficult of times. This life skills blog includes tips on simple ways to make life better.

We wanted to share life enriching information with our friends and family during 2013, at the same time one of our co-founder was deciding to quit MNC job and work on life skills full-time. In thirst of fullfiling this ambition we were looking at various online platforms. Finally we came to know about blogger.com from Google. We humbly started our life skills blog simply called as 'life skills'.

What is 'life skills'?

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and
interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and
manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Life skills may be directed toward personal actions or actions toward others, as well as toward actions to change the surrounding environment to make it
conducive to health.”

Bearing the WHO definition in mind, the 'Life Skills' blog offers people the emotional, social and intellectual information needed to achieve success in life – on a personal level, an interpersonal level, and within their community and work places.

Our main aim right now is to inform and educate others on various topics that will teach them about how they can live a more fulfilling and enriching life. Some of the topics we speak on and also collect and share from various sources for the blog. Here topics are discussed, from goal setting, healthy eating, improving marriage or relationships with dear ones, home living, and so much more.

We are an India based international Blog.
Currently we are having visitors visiting our blog from more than 30 countries. And as of 2021 we have published more than 250 articles.

The Kindness Trap: Why "Ruinous Empathy" Is Stalling Your Team’s Growth:

 - We’ve all been there. A team member submits a report that misses the mark, or a colleague’s performance begins to slip. You want to speak up, but then that voice in your head starts whispering: “They’ve had a hard week,” or “I don’t want to hurt their feelings.” So, you stay silent. You sugar-coat. You say, "Don’t worry about it, you worked hard." It feels like kindness, but it’s actually a feedback failure known as Ruinous Empathy. While it feels "nice" in the short term, it is ultimately one of the most damaging behaviors a leader or peer can exhibit. What is Ruinous Empathy?  Ruinous Empathy occurs when you prioritize someone’s immediate emotional comfort over their long-term professional growth. By avoiding necessary, constructive criticism, you aren't protecting the person—you’re actually preventing them from improving. The results are predictable:  * Stunted Growth : Employees never learn where they are falling short.  * Broken Trust : Eventually, when...

Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships, succeed at school and work, and achieve your career and personal goals. Intellectual ability or your intelligence quotient (IQ) isn’t enough on its own to achieve success in life. Yes, your IQ can help you get into college, but it’s your EQ that will help you manage the stress and emotions when facing your final exams or stresses in real life.  Click to read full article from source:

Right attitude is a great power (story):

😒A Businessman was deep in debt and could not see any way  out. 😒Creditors and Suppliers were demanding payments. He sat in the park, deep in thought, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy. 👍Suddenly an old man appeared before him and asked, "I can see that something is troubling you seriously". 👍After listening patiently the old man said, "I believe I can help you". 👍👍👍He asked the man his name, wrote out a cheque and put it into his hands saying, 👍"Take this money, meet me here exactly one year from today... and you can pay me back at that time". 👍Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come. 👌👌👌The businessman saw in his hands a cheque for $ 500,000... signed by Warren Buffet, one of the richest men in the world. 👍"I can erase my worries instantly...

Greatness by Evolution vs Revolution:

 - Greatness by Evolution vs Revolution: Every human has got his own individual uniqueness and goodness, through which he can benefit himself as well as the entire society. Reaching the Pinacle of Mount Everest does not happen headlong. It does happen day by day, step by step. You too can move towards your own personal mountaintop by taking each step at a time. The Everest climbers don’t jump up to the summit. No, they climb it bit by bit. There is a great amount of dissatisfaction among the people that they don't change even after going through a lot of life coaching seminars and other life skills workshops. What actually we need is we need to know really where we are struck in our micro steps. We have to clearly understand where are we getting struck and what actual solution and approach we need to follow in our each tiny step. Be it an improvement in work efficiency, bettering relationship, managing personal tasks well etc etc. I had this question in mind, there are tons of moti...

Hurdles in life are for good:

-   Once in a physics class, the teacher asked the students, *“Why do we have brakes in a car?”* Varied answers were received: “To stop” “To reduce speed” “To avoid collision” etc., But the best answer was, *“To enable you to drive faster”* Give it a thought. For a moment assume you have no brakes in your car then how fast will you drive your car? It’s because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire. _At various points in life, we find our parents, teachers, mentors & friends etc. questioning our progress, direction or decision. *We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as “brakes” to our ongoing work*._ But, remember, it’s because of such questions (periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or met with an unfortunate accident. *Appreciate the “brakes” in your life. Use them wisely!* Source: whatsaap message

How to be aware and take ourselves towards excellence:

- Perfection in humans is considered by most of them to be real goal of education and training. The question is, is the perfection possible? Or is it about excellence and not perfection? Let's understand what is perfection and how it is achieved. The process of improving something until it becomes excellent is perfection. Excellence is the quality of excelling, of being truly the best at something. Let's understand it by 4 levels: Level 1- I can do it! (Unconscious Incompetence) The Dunning Kruger Effect. Those who are overconfident though they dont have expertise. ATTRIBUTES - over confident  - arrogance - Keep commenting on others. THEY ARE IN PEAK OF MOUNT STUPID. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Actions: Make them aware by feeding knowledge. Ask them to attempt the task. Give them pre test.
