Why Don’t We Teach Life Skills in our Schools?

Life skills is become buzz word particularly after 2000 C.E onwards. Do we need to make our children just job ready or also make them ready for life. When we raise this question, schools for sure take the responsibility of 'job ready'. The dilemma is struck on whose responsibility is to make the child life ready.
